“Cactus Therapy”

By October 21, 2013June 22nd, 2018Field Days, Volunteers

“Cactus Therapy” is the newest craze for dealing with all types of stresses and ills. ‘Experts’ have recently advised that the best way to cure malaise and release your tension is to ‘kill’ some Wheel Cactus plants. Not only do you experience the satisfaction of destroying these noxious weeds, but you also get to relax in our beautiful surroundings and enjoy our stunning, local views.

Bask in the spring sunshine, breathe deeply on the fresh air, and listen to the birds and animals. In fact you can stimulate and re-activate all your senses after hibernating from the long, cold winter. And the best part is, it’s totally free!

The Tarrangower Cactus Control Group and Parks Victoria invite all folk, especially the tense and frazzled ones, to join us and help save our magnificent environment. Next Sunday is the second last Wheel Cactus Community Field Day for this year, so don’t miss out on the therapeutic qualities of killing Wheel Cactus, and the benefits and joy of being a ‘Cactus Warrior’.

This ‘therapy’ session will be held on Sunday 27th October at a property on the Maldon-Baringhup Road (opposite the Hayes Road turn-off) and will be well signposted along Bridgewater and Baringhup Roads. The mornings activities will begin at 10:30 am and end about 12:30 pm with an enjoyable BBQ and friendly chat. Any queries? The Tarrangower Cactus Control Group Inc. can be contacted by calling Ian on 0412 015 807.
